Server rules

Keep the universe fair and friendly.

These rules apply everywhere on UniversalMC - the hub, Prisons, Skyblock, and our Discord. By playing, you agree to follow them.

Rules may be updated at any time, and the version on this page is the one that applies. Breaking them can lead to a warning, mute, kick, or a temporary or permanent ban, depending on how serious it is. Think a punishment was a mistake? Contact support.

Respect

Everyone should feel welcome here.

    Treat people with respect

    No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination of any kind - in chat, in private messages, in builds or in usernames and skins.

  2. §2

    Keep it appropriate

    No sexual, graphic or otherwise inappropriate content, and no offensive names, skins, signs or builds on islands, cells or mines.

  3. §3

    Protect privacy

    Never share anyone's personal information - real names, addresses, photos or contact details - without their permission.

  4. §4

    Don't impersonate others

    Don't pretend to be a staff member, another player, or UniversalMC itself.

Chat

Keep chat readable and friendly.

  1. §5

    No spam

    No flooding, repeated messages, excessive caps or character spam, in chat or in private messages.

  2. §6

    No advertising

    Don't advertise other servers, websites or services. Our chat filter blocks links and IP addresses automatically - please don't try to get around it.

  3. §7

    Don't dodge the filter

    Bypassing the profanity filter with spacing, symbols or misspellings is treated the same as saying the word.

Fair play

Win with skill and time - not shortcuts.

  1. §8

    No cheats or hacked clients

    No hacked clients, cheat mods, x-ray, auto-clickers, macros or any other tool that gives you an unfair advantage. Mods that only improve performance or visuals are fine - if you're unsure, ask staff before using it.

  2. §9

    No exploiting bugs

    If you find a bug, duplication glitch or exploit, don't use it - report it through Support. Abusing one, or sharing how to, will be punished even if you didn't find it yourself.

  3. §10

    No reward farming with alts

    Don't use alternate accounts to farm votes, playtime rewards, daily rewards or any other reward.

  4. §11

    Play fair in PvP and events

    No teaming or interfering where an event doesn't allow it, and no abusing game mechanics to grief other players.

Trading & real money

The only official way to spend real money is the Coin Store.

  1. §12

    No real-money trading

    Don't buy, sell or trade Coins, in-game currencies, items, ranks, islands or accounts for real money or anything outside the game. The Coin Store is the only official place to spend money on UniversalMC.

  2. §13

    No scamming

    Don't deceive players to take their items or currency. Use the built-in trade window (/trade), where nothing changes hands until both sides confirm.

  3. §14

    No chargebacks

    Disputing a Coin Store payment with your bank instead of contacting us may lead to your account being restricted. If something went wrong with a purchase, open a support ticket first.

Accounts

You're responsible for everything done on your account.

  1. §15

    Keep your account to yourself

    Don't share, sell or lend your account, and never share a /link code - anyone with it can sign in to the website as you.

  2. §16

    No ban or mute evasion

    Using another account to get around a ban or mute will result in a longer punishment on every account involved.

Staff

Staff are here to keep the network fair.

  1. §17

    Follow staff instructions

    If a staff member asks you to stop doing something, stop. If you disagree, raise it calmly through Support afterwards - not in public chat.

  2. §18

    Staff have the final say

    These rules can't cover everything. Staff may act on behaviour that isn't listed here but clearly harms other players or the network.
