1.Overview
UniversalMC sells only Coins, our in-game virtual currency. This policy explains how to ask for a refund, the rights you may have under the law where you live, and how refunds and chargebacks affect your Coins. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
2.How to ask for a refund
Contact us through Support (or by email at [Support email address — to be provided]) and include:
- your order ID (shown on your account page);
- the Minecraft username the order was for; and
- why you are asking for a refund.
We aim to reply within [target response time — to be decided].
3.When we will consider a refund
We will look at every request. Examples of situations where we expect to offer a refund include:
- you were charged more than once for the same order;
- your Coins were never delivered because of a problem on our side;
- a purchase was made without the permission of the account holder or the payment method’s owner; and
- you have a right to a refund under the law where you live.
4.Your legal rights
Your rights depend on where you live. For example:
European Union and United Kingdom
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you usually have a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for digital content. This right can end once delivery of the digital content begins, but only if, before delivery started, you expressly agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you would lose your right to withdraw, and we confirmed this to you. If those steps did not happen, your 14-day right still applies. You also have rights if digital content is faulty or not as described.
United States
Refund rules for digital goods vary by state. Where a state law gives you a right to a refund or requires us to handle refunds in a particular way, we will follow it.
Other countries
Many countries, such as Australia, have consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. This policy does not limit those rights.
5.How refunds are paid
Refunds are issued by our staff through Stripe, back to the payment method you used. A refund can be for the whole order or part of it. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank or payment provider, and is often several business days.
6.What a refund does to your Coins
- Coins not yet delivered: the delivery is cancelled, so the Coins are never added.
- Coins already delivered: the order is flagged for staff review, and staff may remove up to the number of Coins that were refunded from that account.
- Staff will never take your balance below zero, and will never take anything from other players because of your refund.
7.Chargebacks and payment disputes
You have the right to dispute a payment with your bank or card provider. If something is wrong with an order, please contact us first, because we can often fix it more quickly.
- Coins not yet delivered: delivery is put on hold while the dispute is open.
- Coins already delivered: the order is flagged for staff review, with the same limits as for refunds.
Disputes are decided by your bank or card provider, not by us. We may give Stripe information about the order, such as when it was paid and delivered, to respond to a dispute.
8.Purchases made by a child
If a child made a purchase without your permission, contact us through Support or at [Support email address — to be provided] with the order ID or the date and amount on your statement, and we will look into it.
